Code of Conduct

All users of the Facility whether they be Members or Guests (collectively referred to as “Users”) must adhere to the following set of community standards. The Member is responsible for ensuring their guests follow these Code of Conduct terms:

1. Users must use the Facility in a respectful manner to other Users. As Users will find themselves working in close proximity to other Users, Users must take all reasonable steps not to disrupt those Users including doing the following: 

a. Speaking at appropriate volume levels; 

b. Listening to music, taking phone calls or taking video calls through the use of personal headphones; 

c. Maintaining a high level of personal hygiene including use of deodorant if necessary; and

2. Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) is in place throughout the building to support the safety and security of all occupants, visitors, and assets. Footage may be used to assist in the investigation of incidents such as theft, damage, or safety-related events. All footage is handled by authorised personnel in line with our privacy and incident management policies. 

3. Gate 8 is an all-inclusive, non-discriminatory and safe workplace. We will not tolerate any User who acts in a disrespectful, discriminatory, aggressive, offensive, dangerous or other anti-social manner.

4. Smoking is not permitted anywhere in the building including outdoor terraces and balconies. 

5. Users are expected to drink alcohol in designated areas or as directed by us or at special events and follow direction from staff at all times. 

6. The use of illegal substances is strictly prohibited as is any User engaging in any illegal, hazardous or dangerous conduct or activities.

7. Pets are not permitted in the Facility (service dogs allowed)

8. Anyone under the age of 18 is not permitted on premises unless accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.

9. Users must follow procedures and other policies implemented by us 

10. Users must act with discretion when developing business opportunities. 

11. It is not acceptable for Users to solicit or interfere with other Users’ clients whilst they are visiting us.

12. Users must interact with each other in a positive, collaborative and friendly manner.

Jolimont House Member Rules

Jolimont House is a shared space built on respect, courtesy and consideration for others. These Member Rules help ensure every member and guest enjoy the space in the way it was intended. 


Dress Code 

Jolimont House is designed to be a casual and relaxed space. Members and their guests should dress appropriately for the environment and any events they attend. A neat, casual standard of dress is required at all times. 


Guests 

Members may bring up to four (4) guests to Jolimont House without a reservation. During busy periods, access to certain areas may be restricted. 

Groups of five (5) to twelve (12) guests must be booked through the Gate 8 app at least 48 hours in advance to ensure suitable space is available. Pre-ordered meals may be required at busy times. 

Groups of more than twelve (12) guests are considered functions or events. 

Minimum spends, set menus and beverage packages will apply. Please contact our management team at  hello@jolimont.house to make arrangements. 

Members are responsible for the conduct of their guests and must ensure they comply with these Member Rules and all Jolimont House policies, even when the member is not present. Members may be held liable for any damage caused by their guests. 


Children

Jolimont House is an adults-only (18+) venue. Exceptions for babies, toddlers and young children may be approved at the discretion of management. Where approval has been granted, children must remain under the supervision of their parent or guardian at all times, with consideration shown to other members and guests.


Food and Drinks 

External food or beverages, other than water, must not be brought into or consumed within Jolimont House. This includes packed lunches, snacks and alcoholic beverages.  Exceptions may be made where there is a genuine medical requirement. 


Private Events 

Jolimont House may, from time to time, close all or part of the venue for private events. Wherever possible, members will be advised in advance.

Smoking 

Smoking and vaping are prohibited throughout Jolimont House, including the Terrace. 


Animals 

Gate 8, including Jolimont House, operates a no-pets policy. Accredited assistance dogs are permitted in accordance with the Gate 8 Dog & Pet Policy. 


Telephone and Video Calls 

To ensure a comfortable environment for all members and guests, telephone calls, video calls and online meetings must not be conducted using loudspeaker. Members are asked to use headphones or earbuds where appropriate and, where possible, move to a more suitable location if a call is likely to be lengthy or disruptive. 


Filming and Photography 

To protect the privacy and confidentiality of our members and guests, all filming, photography and content creation within Gate 8 or Jolimont House must be approved by the Jolimont House management team before commencing. Restrictions, conditions, location limitations and charges may apply depending on the nature and timing of the activity. 


Responsible Service of Alcohol 

Alcohol is served in accordance with the conditions of the Jolimont House liquor licence and all applicable Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) requirements. Jolimont House reserves the right to refuse service in accordance with these obligations. 


Entering and Leaving Jolimont House 

Members and their guests are asked to respect our neighbours by keeping noise to a minimum when entering or leaving the building and while in the surrounding area. Noise restrictions may also apply when using the Jolimont House Terrace. 


Amendments to Member Rules 

Jolimont House may amend these Member Rules from time to time in the interests of our members, guests and employees. The current version of the Member Rules applies at all times. 


Operating Hours 

Jolimont House management may vary operating hours at its discretion and without notice. Wherever possible, changes will be communicated in advance. Standard operating hours commence at 8:00am, Monday to Friday. 


Respectful Behaviour 

Jolimont House is committed to providing an inclusive, respectful and safe environment. Disrespectful, discriminatory, aggressive, offensive, dangerous or other anti-social behaviour towards members, guests or staff will not be tolerated. 


Breach of Member Rules 

Failure to comply with these Member Rules may result in removal from the venue, suspension of membership privileges, or termination of membership at the discretion of Jolimont House management.

Health Policy

 1. Our Covid-19 response and Health Policy will remain in place indefinitely across also applies to general health matters.

2. We ask that all members and guests consider the below questions and their health before entering the Building\Facility.

3. As advised by the Department of Health (DHHS) and to ensure the safety of our team and community please confirm you comply with the below before entry.

Access Policy

 1. Before you enter our space please answer these 3 questions:

a. Have you tested positive for COVID-19 or been directed to isolate?

b. Have you been advised that you are a close contact of anyone confirmed as having COVID-19 or are you waiting on a COVID-19 test result?

c. Are you feeling unwell with flu-like symptoms including high temperature, sore throat, coughing, sneezing, headaches, body aches?

2. If you answered YES to any of these three questions please return home and seek advice from your doctor before returning to site.

3. Please be sure you follow the DHHS Guidelines or direction from your doctor before returning to space.
